§ 72.08. Removal; impoundment.

  • Whenever any police officer finds a vehicle standing on a street or alley in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter, the officer is hereby authorized to have the vehicle moved in the manner provided for in chapter 70 of this Code or require the driver or person in charge of the vehicle to move the vehicle to a position off the paved or improved or main-traveled part of the street or alley. Whenever any police officer finds a vehicle unattended or unlawfully parked on any street, bridge, or causeway within the town, where that vehicle constitutes an obstruction to traffic, the officer is authorized to provide for the removal of the vehicle in the manner provided for in chapter 70 of this Code.
