The town's code enforcement procedures as provided for in this chapter are intended
to promote, protect and improve the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of
the Town of Longboat Key by creating administrative boards and special magistrates
with authority to impose administrative fines and other noncriminal penalties to provide
an equitable, expeditious, effective and inexpensive method of enforcing any codes,
ordinances, resolutions, orders, approvals, and permits within the town, where a pending
or repeated violation continues to exist.
